Read the following scriptures. Re-reading several times will help you meditate upon the meaning of God's word. Listen for what the Spirit of God is saying to you through the word.
Isa 59:1-2
Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
Ezek 14:1-3
Some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat down in front of me. Then the word of the LORD came to me: "Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I let them inquire of me at all?
Prov 1:24-30
But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke, I in turn will laugh at your disaster;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you-- when calamity overtakes you like a storm, when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind, when distress and trouble overwhelm you.
"Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.
Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD,
since they would not accept my advice and spurned my rebuke.

HINDRANCES OF PRAYER - Part I
Read the following scriptures. Re-reading these several times will help you meditate upon the meaning of God's word. Listen for what the Spirit of God is saying to you through the word.
Ps 66:188
If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
1 Peter 3:7
Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.
1 Peter 3:12
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."
Hag 1:6, 9-11
You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse with holes in it."
"You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands."

Do
Allmee :
Lord, even though I have been reading Your word for so many times now, but I am still not sure what are the things I should do for Your…….
Almighty :
1 Corinthians 10:31-32 (Just start with this)
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble,………
1 Thessalonians 4:1-3 (Do everything to please God)
Finally, brother we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more……..It is God’s will that you should be sanctified;………
Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Deut 10:12-13
And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the LORD's commands and decrees that I am giving you today for?
Ephesians 5:1
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children.....
Heart :
Seek my will in all you do, and I will show you which path to take (Proverbs 3:6). A conscious choice you must make to do what is right. This is my will for you.

Fear of Uncertainty
Allmee:
Dear Lord, uncertainty in life can really grip my heart......
Almighty:
Mark 16:7 (God is going ahead of us)
But go, tell His disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.'"
Psalms 23:4 (God is with us)
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Rom 8:15-16
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
Ps 46:1-2 (Our present help)
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear......
Heart:
I will always go ahead and make your path straight. Know that you can never be able to go where I have not been. So seek Me always.

Deliverance
Allmee :
Lord, when You say You will never leave nor forsake us, does that mean, we are free from all trouble?
Almighty :
Psalms 34:19-20
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.
Psalms 34:22
The Lord redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him..
Psalms 34:6
This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles.
Psalms 34:15
The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry.
Heart :
I will protect and deliver my own children from all their fears when they cry out to me and draw near to me.

What/When to Pray
Allmee :
Lord, so many things on my mind, so many needs in my life, do I list them all out to You when I pray? Do I have time for all that?
Almighty :
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray continually;
Colossians 4:2 (Being watchful, you’ll know what to pray)
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.
Ephesians 6:18 (Things that are on your mind)
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Heart :
Time spent fellowshipping with me in prayer is worth spending because when you pray, you do not just get anything, but the best from Me!

God's Purity
Allmee :
The Book of Psalms, what can I learn from it……..
Almighty :
Psalm 19: 7-11
(Our soul – How to be saved)
The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.
(Our mind – How to think)
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
(Our heart – Positive feelings)
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
(Our eyes – Be filled with light and not darkness)
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
(Our hands – Do it for the glory of God)
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
(Our conscience – Clear conscience makes right decision)
The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.
Heart :
Do desire for My Word, warned by these and make sure you keep them for they will bring you great reward.
